Holland Gardens is one of Northwest Ohio's largest wedding venues and can comfortably accommodate weddings from approximately 140 to nearly 480 guests. During the planning process, we'll help determine the best layout for your guest count and event flow.
-
Absolutely. Many couples host both their ceremony and reception at Holland Gardens, so guests enjoy the entire celebration without traveling between locations. We offer beautiful outdoor ceremony spaces as well as indoor ceremony options, giving you flexibility no matter the season.
-
Yes. While many couples host a full wedding at Holland Gardens, we also offer options for ceremony-only celebrations and smaller events. Because these are handled a little differently than a full reception, the best next step is to reach out to our team so we can share the details and investment that fit what you have in mind.
-
Most couples book Holland Gardens twelve to eighteen months before their wedding date, and peak season Saturdays (April through November) tend to reserve first. We do occasionally have shorter-notice dates available. The best way to know what's open for your season is to schedule a tour, where we can talk through real availability in person.
The Holland Gardens Experience
-
Every wedding at Holland Gardens is customized to your guest count, menu, bar package, and any enhancements you choose, so your investment reflects the celebration you design. Most couples invest between $18,000 and $25,000 for their full wedding. The best way to get accurate numbers for your day is to schedule a tour so our team can build a personalized proposal around your vision.
-
Yes. Your Holland Gardens wedding includes a venue rental fee, which is separate from the food and beverage minimum, and it covers far more than the space. It gives you exclusive use of the venue and grounds with only one event per day, so the property is entirely yours, plus our gardens, both getting-ready suites, standard tables, chairs, and linens, an on-site venue manager, and an included one-hour rehearsal when your ceremony is with us. Our team handles all of the setup and teardown, so unlike venues that leave you to arrange your own tables and chairs, you never lift a finger. Any additional rentals, from upgraded linens to specialty chairs and tents, are handled for you through our on-site partner, American Event Rentals. The fee varies with your date, day of the week, and package, and here's the part couples love: once your contract is signed, your rental fee is locked and will not change, even as we keep investing in and enhancing the venue and gardens before your day.
-
Yes. Holland Gardens has a food and beverage minimum, which for peak season (April through November) Saturday weddings is $10,000 before service charge and tax. That minimum reflects the value of everything our in-house culinary and bar teams provide, and it can shift based on your date and guest count. We'll walk through exactly how it applies to your celebration during your tour.
Investment
-
Yes. Every wedding at Holland Gardens includes our exclusive in-house catering. Preparing every meal in our own kitchen lets us deliver consistent quality, reliable service, and a seamless dining experience from start to finish. We offer a wide range of menu options and will work with you to create a menu that reflects your style, including accommodating many dietary restrictions and allergies with advance notice.
-
Yes. All alcohol service at Holland Gardens is provided by our licensed bartending team. We offer a variety of bar packages, from beer and wine to full-service premium bars, so you can choose the option that best fits your celebration.
-
No. Outside alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the property, including the getting-ready suites, ceremony areas, reception space, parking lot, and outdoor spaces. This policy keeps us compliant with Ohio liquor laws and lets us provide safe, professional service. It doesn't mean skipping the celebration, though. Holland Gardens offers a variety of food and beverage options for the getting-ready suites, including mimosa bars, champagne service, brunch, charcuterie boards, coffee service, and more, so your day can begin with a celebration from the moment you arrive.
-
Absolutely. Many couples start their wedding day with brunch, fresh pastries, coffee, charcuterie boards, sandwich lunches, fruit displays, or a mimosa or Bloody Mary bar while getting ready. Holland Gardens can have everything prepared before you arrive, or you're welcome to bring in your own food for the getting-ready suites if you'd prefer. Either way, all bar service comes through Holland Gardens, so you can relax and enjoy the morning with your favorite people.
Food & Beverage
-
Yes. Holland Gardens features two private getting-ready suites, so both sides of the wedding party have a comfortable space to prepare before the ceremony. They're perfect for hair and makeup, spending time with family and friends, enjoying food and drinks, and capturing those special getting-ready photos. One suite is on our main level, and our bridal suite is located upstairs.
-
Yes. We want your wedding to reflect your style, and you're welcome to personalize the space within our décor guidelines. We'll review those guidelines with you during the planning process so setup is smooth and stress-free.
-
Yes. Holland Gardens is handicap accessible and designed to help guests of all ages feel comfortable throughout your celebration. The one space reached by stairs is our upstairs bridal suite, so anyone who prefers to avoid stairs is completely comfortable in our main-level spaces.
-
Yes. Holland Gardens offers ample complimentary on-site parking, making arrival simple and convenient for your guests.
Getting Ready & Spaces
-
Yes. An on-site venue manager is there throughout your event as your point of contact for anything related to the venue, including food, bar, setup, and operations. They'll help point your vendors toward where they need to set up and make sure your guests feel welcome and taken care of. The venue manager is not a personal wedding coordinator, but they keep everything on our end running smoothly so you're in good hands all night.
-
No one can control the weather, but you don't have to worry about it. If Mother Nature has other plans, our team will transition your ceremony indoors so you can focus on enjoying your day. For couples planning an outdoor celebration, American Event Rentals can also provide a tent when it's arranged in advance, so you have a beautiful backup in place. We'll confirm your final weather plan with you the day before your wedding.
-
Holland Gardens provides an experienced on-site venue manager who oversees everything related to the venue on your wedding day, including food, bar, setup, and operations. We are not a wedding coordination service, so if you'd like someone to build your timeline, cue your ceremony and reception, and manage your personal details and vendors, we recommend hiring a professional day-of coordinator or wedding planner. Just ask, and we're happy to share a few names of coordinators we trust.
-
In many cases, yes. We know pets are family, and at Holland Gardens they're welcome to be part of your ceremony. Pets are welcome for the ceremony only. They aren't able to go inside the venue or stay for the full event, so many couples arrange for someone to handle pick-up once the ceremony wraps. We'll go over a few simple guidelines during planning so your furry family member can be part of the moment.
-
Almost nothing. Our team handles the setup and teardown of all venue tables, chairs, and linens, so you never spend your morning hauling furniture or your night breaking it down. Some venues leave that work to you and your family, but at Holland Gardens you simply bring your personal touches, like place cards, favors, and décor, and we take care of the heavy lifting. At the end of the night, our team handles the venue breakdown so you can leave and hold on to the moment.
On Your Wedding Day
-
Yes. Through our sister company American Event Rentals, located right here on the Holland Gardens campus, we handle all of your rentals for you, from Chiavari and garden chairs to upgraded linens, lounge furniture, tents, and ceremony enhancements. As a Holland Gardens couple, you also receive special in-house rates through American Event Rentals. Because they are on-site and already know the venue, one trusted team takes care of delivery, setup, and teardown, with no separate rental company for you to coordinate. We'll help you choose exactly what fits your vision.
-
Yes, and we'd love that. When you book your wedding, we include a complimentary one-hour engagement session, and you can use it at either Holland Gardens or Wildflower Estate, whichever backdrop you love most. Between our gardens and grounds and the open fields and prairie grasses at Wildflower Estate, you have two completely different settings to choose from. The property is also a beautiful spot for bridal portraits and wedding-day images.
