When a family gathers after a service, the last thing anyone should be doing is running a kitchen. We handle the room, the food, the setup, and the cleanup. No one in your family sets a table or stacks a chair.

Holland Gardens is a full-service venue and catering kitchen on Angola Road in Holland. We host one gathering at a time, so the space belongs entirely to your family for the afternoon.

Most of these come together in under a week. That is normal here, and short notice is welcome.

Celebration of life gatherings are hosted Monday through Friday. Weekend dates are occasionally available, so it is always worth asking.

TWO WAYS TO DO IT:

A 50 guest minimum applies. Pricing below is for weekday gatherings and does not include Ohio sales tax. Your room is chosen at booking based on expected guest count.

‍Choose your room

Garden Room, up to 75 guests, $1,200 A section of the hall closed off near the gardens, so a group of sixty feels held rather than lost in a large space.

Main Hall, up to 480 guests, $2,000 The full room, for larger gatherings.

Both include tables, chairs, linens, complete setup and teardown, sound and microphone, and the projector.

‍Then choose your menu

Full Buffet, $27 per guest Two entrées, two sides, house salad, and rolls, with the coffee, tea, and water station included.

Sandwich and Salad, $23 per guest A sandwich bar with two salads and chips, with the coffee, tea, and water station included.

Typical all-in totals: 60 guests in the Garden Room runs about $3,100 to $3,400. 100 guests in the Main Hall runs about $4,950 to $5,400. Both include tax and two bartenders.

Room without catering - Call and we will talk it through.

Additions: China service in place of disposable, or a grazing table. We will quote whatever fits.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

  • Exclusive use of the space for four hours, with access one hour before

  • Tables, chairs, and linens in black, white, or ivory, set and cleared by our team

  • Complete setup and teardown

  • Sound system and microphone for remarks

  • Projector and screen for a slideshow or family photos

  • Staff on site throughout

  • Ample parking, single-level, and accessible

  • For smaller groups, the Garden Room is sectioned off near the gardens so a gathering of sixty is not seated in a room built for four hundred

IF YOU WOULD LIKE A BAR

Two bartenders are required at $150 each. A hosted bar runs as an open tab and is settled at the end of the evening, so you only pay for what is actually served. You may set a limit in advance, and a cash bar is always an option. All alcohol is provided by Holland Gardens.

GATHERING SOMEWHERE ELSE

If your family is meeting at a church hall, a lodge, or a home, we cater off-site with the same menus. Pickup is available as well.

  • Final guest count and menu selections are set at the time of booking, unless we agree in writing to a later date. Guest count may not be reduced after final submission. Because these gatherings usually come together quickly, most families give us both at once, and that is by design so nothing is left hanging.

  • All food and beverage is provided by Holland Gardens. If your family has something specific in mind, call us and we will work it out.
